American performer Allison Brooks Janney was born on the 19th of November 1959. Over the course of her thirty years, Allison Brooks Janney has received recognition for both stage and film appearances. Janney has been honored with numerous awards including her Academy Award and British Academy Film Award. She also received 7 Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, she was nominated for two Tony Awards. Janney was born in Boston and was raised in Dayton (Ohio). Her scholarship allowed her to learn at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after she graduated from Kenyon College. Her first television appearance was in 1999, when she played C. J. Cregg in NBC's political drama The West Wing (from 1999 to 2006). The actress won Four Primetime Emmy Awards for the role. Janney was awarded an award called the Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest Actress in the Drama Series for her performance in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime show Masters of Sex. Janney received nominations at least six times for Primetime Emmy Awards and twice took home the Outstanding Supporting Actress Comedy Series.
